Erin is a living testimony to God's healing heart. After graduating from college in 1962, Erin enjoyed many years of teaching in public schools. She is also a licensed minister with International Ministerial Fellowship and a published author.

Her passion is comforting others the way she's received hope. She has more than thirty years' experience writing and teaching Bible lessons, facilitating small groups, and speaking at retreats, seminars, and other special events. In 1987 she organized and directed Beacon of Hope, an inner-healing ministry for survivors of abuse and other wounds. Her Beacon of Hope services included teaching weekly from her written material, overseeing small-group facilitators, and leading a support group.

Erin is the founder (1989) and executive director of a counseling and prayer ministry that recognizes Jesus Christ as the Living River of Life. Garden of Grace Ministries is a nonprofit, nondenominational organization whose main mission is to bring recovery, hope, and restoration to wounded hearts. Erin is gifted in her ability to lead others into God's shining grace, freeing them to grow in the light of His splendor. Her desire is that all who feel like dry, trampled weeds will bloom like sunflowers in a well-watered garden. A treasure of wisdom has come through her family's struggles with pain and shame.

Erin and her husband, Tom love to share about the Lord's healing grace. Since 1999, through their church, Living Waters, in Elk River, Minnesota, they've been overseeing a care group in their home. Their marriage itself is a testimony to God's faithfulness, because of His love, 2007 is their jubilee celebration of fifty years! Tom and Erin's two children are married and the family's rich blessings continue with five grandchildren.
